October 8, 2010 New Oh, How I Love Marie Claire.
Yesterday I raved about how FIERCE Marie Claire’s November issue with Victoria Beckham on the cover looked, but once again Marie Claire has brought the fierceness to another level: Glee’s Lea Michele. I love this girl. Never have I seen such a petite woman look so sophisticated, fierce and structured in designer upscale couture. Lea looks amazing (as usual!) on the cover of Britain’s Marie Claire and her pics inside are amazing as well.

October 6, 2010 Sarah Burton Gets a Two Thumbs Up!
Sarah Burton gets a MAJOR two thumbs up for her collection for Alexander McQueen. After McQueen’s tragic passing in February, fans like myself were worried about the future of his line. A major concern I had at the time was is there anyone else in the fashion world that is as creatively genius as McQueen was with art, esthetic and fashion and luckily for us there is: Sarah Burton. She debuted her McQueen collection this week and it is fabulous, fierce and on fire.

October 5, 2010 Okay…?
So model Crystal Renn did a photoshoot with Terry Richardson in Vogue Paris’ October issue. I’m not too sure what direction Terry Richardson was going for with these photos but I find something a bit odd about a controversial plus-size model binging on tons of food. Seriously, what message are they really trying to send here?

September 23, 2010 No Better Way to Kick Off London Fashion Week.
The fashion week train has moved to London and while us Americans got a taste of the upcoming spring trends, the British are making the most of their fashion week.
To kick off their ode to fashion, Anna Wintor, Naomi Campbell, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Moss and many other fashionable celebs payed tribute to the late-great Alexander McQueen by attending a private memorial service for him. Miss Wintor led the service and offered a compelling speech about McQueen’s work but this sentenced captured my attention about him when she described McQueen as:
“a complex and gifted young man.”
I couldn’t agree with her more. Anna Wintor knows fashion and talent; and talent is exactly what McQueen had. There’s absoutely no better way to mark the beginning of fashion week in London by celebriting the life of one of the best British designers. Well done, London.

September 14, 2010 Celebspiration: Solange Knowles.
I frickin’ love Solange Knowles. Like, seriously this chick has a style of her own. She’s electic, bohemian and urban but with a little rock star edginess. She’s always seems to amaze me with her clothing choices, her shoe styles and of course her nails. Girl, is a true fashionista and she’s using her good taste to cover FashIzBlack this month.
absolutely cool.

September 13, 2010 VMA’s Best Dressed.
So the 2010 MTV VMA’s were last night and although I was flickering my T.V. from the show to True Blood, I did enjoy the “white” carpet and all the outrageous outfits that walk amongst it. I wasn’t too crazy about alot of the looks on the carpet but I did enjoy a select few. Here is my best-dressed list:
Katy Perry
Ciara
Selena Gomez
Audrina Patridge
Ashley Greene
I think it’s safe to say I’m a little biased with it comes to fashion (hence: all my favorite looks are similar) but Katy Perry looked the most amazing last night. Then again, when doesn’t she?

September 13, 2010 Ode to Gossip Girl.
I LOVE Gossip Girl. The story-lines, the bitchiness, the fashions, the boys…awe I can go on and on about my love for this show and since today marks the premiere of season 4, I thought I share some of my favorite Gossip Girl fashions featuring Serena, Blair, Jenny, and Vanessa.
Enjoy.

September 12, 2010 Elle’s Turning 25!!!
One of my favorite magazines in the whole entire world will be celebrating their 25th anniversary next month. Yes, it’s ELLE. I adore ELLE and it’s my dream to write for them one day. In anticipation of their 25th birthday U.S. ELLE will be releasing four different covers of 20-something year old celebs. Those featured are Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfriend, Gabourey Sidibe and Lauren Conrad. I adore all ladies for their respective fields but I do think the selection was a bit random if I were in charge of this list I’d have Rihanna (22), Zoe Kravitz (21), Blake Lively (23) and Emma Watson (20). They each have their own distinctive styles that I think would look totally good on an ELLE cover. Check out ELLE.com for a slide show of the 20-something girls doing their thing.

September 9, 2010 Hot.
Seriously, how hot are these shoes by Creative Recreation. The ‘Moretina Hi Boot’ is part of their fall Select line and these cuties are literally three boots in one. With zipper on/off sections, you can rock thigh high, knee length and ankle boots for the same price. This is truly a bargain and amazing idea.
