twenty two haute things to love about fashion.

LOL. Designer Cynthia Rowley has made a name for herself in the fashion world for years, but now she’s about to set herself apart from any other designer out there: get this she’s making designer Band-Aids! After her success of diaper designers Rowley collaborated with Johnson & Johnson to create 14 band-aid designers that feature sequins, lace and jewels. But don’t expect the profits for this new venture to go directly to Cythnia or Johnson & Johnson’s bank accounts; $1 from each sale will be donated to Design Ingites Change which is an organization made to help young adults create designs and architecture that address social issues in their communities. Not too shabby for $10 bucks a package and over 20 cool designer Band-aids. Call me crazy but I think I’ll invest in a tin, you never know when these bad boys will come in handy.

When Kate Moss releases her newest collection for Top Shop this October, it will be her last. According to NY mag, Kate’s line hasn’t been doing to well in the numbers department and it’s losing it momentum with consumers. The line only launched three years ago and its success has been inevitable with tons of fans and fashionistas lining up early and skipping work to purchase a piece of the collection. I’m said to see Kate’s collection go, but all things do come to an end eventually and maybe the lines high prices aren’t matching with Top Shop frugal-sprending customers. Or maybe, just maybe like NY mag mentioned the line is just simply not that good anymore.

It’s been a while since I been shopping (literally like 3 weeks) and I posted some of the hot shit I bought the last time I shopped. Well today I’ll be doing a little rummaging in some of my local vintage shops and of course hitting the big stores as well. I’m really digging the whole military-esque vibe that’s been trending lately; so my shopping trip is inspired by green, combats and cargos.

Check for yourself:

  • Jessica Simpson ‘Desert Cuffed Skinny Cargo’  in Olive($59)
  • Mango ‘Mango Neutral Parka’ in Tan($117)
  • American Apparel ‘Piqué Tee’ in Oyster ($26)
  • Steven by Steve Madden ‘Axee’ in Brown ($160)

I’m feeling down and dirty and ready for battle. Perhaps my new military-inspired gear will inspired me to do some combat on the cardio floor. I’ll take a boot camp class with that parka!

I LOVE Jimmy Choo. Since June I’ve been saving up every penny I have to purchase the ultra-cool Jimmy Choo sneaks that hit the racks this spring and when I heard of Jimmy Choo possibly collaborating with another popular shoe team I was ecstatic. Nike came to mind, so did Steve Madden but my hopes were crushed when I discovered that Jimmy Choo was teaming up with UGG Australia. I adore UGGs but they’re more of a comfort shoe in my opinion. There aren’t many ways you can spice these bad boys up besides adding some leather to ’em. Nicky Hilton revealed her exclusive pair via Twitter this week and I am not pleased. They were just original UGGs with studded stars all over them and they weren’t adorable by any means. In fact they were UGG-ly…and besides those didn’t look like $600 shoes. Jimmy Choo and UGG I love you guys but I think I’ll have to pass on your latest venture. Better luck next season.

So Pierre Hardy has been going hard designing footwear for the Gap this year. Their spring collection was HOT and the prices were moderate and affordable. Luckilly for us, the designer team re-collaborated with Gap to design a fall collection with tons of GORGEOUS boots, booties and peeptoes. I’m in pure lust and love… and best of all I just got a Groupon for Gap this morning for $25 for a $50 coupon. That’s like half-off any pair of their fabulous shoes!

OMG! OMG! Barney’s New York is having their annual warehouse sale in NYC starting this Thursday Aug. 19. The sale runs all the way through Labor Day and get this: you can save about 50% off the retail price. How awesome is that? Just think, tons of expensive designer garments can be yours for half the retail price. Save your paychecks ladies and be ready to rumble. Finding cute designer duds won’t be easy.

I don’t know about you guys but I been into cut-out dresses ever since I seen Leighton Meester’s dress at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. I’ve been eyeing for one reasonably priced and I guess many other of your gals have been too since Top Shop has a bunch of these for about $90 bucks….and for the ones who are too shy to wear such as sexy silhouette. Don’t worry Topshop sells cut-outs with mesh that are equally as fabulous.
